3-25-2011 late night

Alright, so some things ive noticed past couple days while slowly working on things.  I have gotten the tow bar off.  No need having that sitting on there when I wont be towing the jeep any place, the idea is this will be my daily driver for the summer then get an xj or zj or some other suv type thing for the winter and park the 6 into the garage and try to fix up the body.  I have gotten all the screws out of the dashboard now to figure out how to get everything unhooked.  I only spend an hour or so out there at a time since its still pretty cold in Michigan, dropped back into the 30s this week.  While wrestling with the dashboard i was turning the steering wheel back and forth and noticed the whole front end moving.  Need to figure that out.  Oh yea forgot I got the hood off so it was more noticeable watching the radiator moving tons.  On that note i wire wheeled off a bit of rust off the hood and painted it yellow.  Wondering what color the jeep was originally this or that yellow.  I am finding 2 shades of yellow and then one of the blue color.

Choices, I need to decide if i want to get a new windshield frame.  The bottom is pretty rusted.  New fenders and the tailgate.  Those are the major rusted parts.  I think everything but the tailgate is going to be pretty easy to fix.  A new hood might be nice since it looks like its rusted under stuff thats welded together but im going with trying to save it.

Things that have to been, motor has to get fixed/replaced.  Found an amc 360 for a great price, just needs 3 things and i can basically just drop it in where the 304 was with no problems. Needs new suspension all the way around.  Shocks, leaves, shackles, shackle mounts, and leaf mounts are needed.  Will need replacement wiper arms for sure since one is missing the spring to hold against windshield.  Bound/motor mounts will all need to be replaced.

Would like a family style roll bar/cage.  One that goes over the front seats and then goes over the back passengers.  Better seats/seat holders.  Some sort of radio.  A hardtop, so far Ive only found a new soft top with doors for almost a grand OUCH!  Nice big tuff bumpers with big fog lights in them and at least a winch up front.  A hitch in the back so i can get a trailer, trailer is a story for a different time Ive seen many i love lately.  Shoulder belts or maybe 5 point harnesses.  An AMC 401 with fuel injection.  Fancy paint job. 36 inch tires.  Front disc brakes.  Power steering.  OBA (on board air) for some ARB air lockers front and rear (selectable lockers so when im on the road the diffs will be open).  With lockers i want twin sticked D20.  lets see i think thats enough dreaming for now yea? pretty sure.  Going to sleep now.
